Acetabular Labrum (glenoidal labrum of the hip joint or cotyloid ligament in older texts) is a ring consisting of both fibrocartilage and dense connective tissue attached to the bony rim of the acetabulum. This ring is normally triangular in cross section, although other variants, including round, irregular, and flattened, have been noted in people without hip pain.
