Cancellous Bone Tissue (also called trabecular bone or spongy bone) are the meshwork of spongy tissue (trabeculae) of mature adult bone typically found at the core of vertebral bones in the spine and the ends of the long bones.
Cancellous bone makes up about 20 percent of the human skeleton, providing structural support and flexibility without the weight of compact bone.
