Levator Palpebrae Superioris

Levator palpebrae superioris are one of the muscles of the eyelids. It arises from the inferior surface of the lesser wing of the sphenoid bone. 
Origin : Inferior surface of the lesser wing of the sphenoid bone above the optic canal
Insertion :Tarsal plate and skin of the superior eyelid
Action : Raises the upper eyelid.
