Lingual Artery

Lingual artery is one of the branches of the external carotid artery and supplies the oral floor and tongue. Lingual artery arises opposite the greater cornu of the hyoid bone between the facial arteries and superior thyroid. It can occasionally arise as a common trunk with the latter.
