Musculus Sternocleidomastoideus (SCM)

Musculus Sternocleidomastoideus called as sternomastoid (SCM) is a long muscle in the side of the neck that extends up from the thorax to the base of the skull behind the ear. SCM have function to turn the head obliquely to opposite side; when acting together, flex the neck and extend the head.
